The Program

The Interaction Design program offers a Masters of Art in Interaction Design as well as individual courses, workshops, and seminars for students and organizations interested in developing design-based skills, knowledge, and experience. The program is designed to develop leaders that have deep understanding of human-centered and evidence-based approaches to the design of interactive systems and experiences. The curriculum is cross-disciplinary and challenges students to leverage connections between design, the social sciences, marketing and logistics, and the computing sciences.

Degree seeking individuals can complete their degree in less than 16-months, while individuals and organizations can select specific courses for customized development plans.

The College

UNT’s College of Visual Arts and Design (CVAD) is home to some of the highest rated art and design programs in the southern United States. As one of the nation's largest comprehensive visual arts programs, CVAD is home to 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students and 125 faculty and staff from around the world. In 2017, CVAD broke ground on a new $70 million expansion of the Art Building that more than doubles classroom, studio, and gallery space available to students. CVAD will also be one of the first colleges to expanded their programing to the New College campus in Frisco, Texas with their new MA program in Interaction Design.

The University

The University of North Texas (UNT) is one of the nation's 30 largest public universities and the largest, most comprehensive in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It is dedicated to providing an excellent educational experience to its 36,000 students while powering the North Texas region through innovative education and research.

UNT's New College in Frisco, Texas is an off-site instructional facility designed to equip the next generation of leaders that combine problem-solving with deep knowledge of business, technology, and people. The New College's collaborative learning environment gives students and organizations access to the latest technology, educational resources, and internationally recognized faculty.
